In Bollywood movies today, locking lips on the screen is not a new thing but when the news of kissing on screen is made public, it gets a lot of media attention. Sometime such news is just rumors and sometimes it is true, but this is only known after the movie has been released. Recent news headlines have it that, Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor have performed an intimate kiss scene in their upcoming movie, Mausam (2011) . Initially, Sonam was hesitant on the kissing scene but director Pankaj Kapur was able to convince the actress for the passionate lip-lock in his film. Now only time will tell if such a kissing scene was taped and if taped is part of the movie.

Delhi 6, Dilli 6 (2008) starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan has been submitted by director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to the Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers Association (IMPPA) to be sent to the Film Federation of India for sending it as India’s entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Awards. In order for a film to qualify, it should have been released or should be releasing between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009 and should have run for seven consecutive days at least.

With only one film under her belt Sonam Kapoor is making her place in Bollywood. Sonam made her Indian film debut in 2007 in Saanvariya, Saawariya (2006) along with Ranbir Kapoor . She was nominated that year for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award, but lost out to Deepika Padukone who also made her Bollywood debut that year. Sonam has now been singed by L’ Oreal to be the young face to endorses their brand. She will be the face of a younger generation while current brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be the face of L’Oreal for women in their 30’s. Sonam will also be seen in 2009 in movie Dilli 6 (2009) opposite Abhishek Bachchan .
