Another Amitabh Bachchan classic is now being remaked. Bollywood movie star Priyanka Chopra has been confirmed for the remake of Zanjeer (2013) . The movie will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia and also stars Ram Charan Teja, Arjun Rampal, Prakash Raj, Mahi Gill. The movie will be released in 2013. Priyanka also starred in another Mr. Bachchan remake, Don 2 The Chase Begins Again (2011).

The buzz is that Priyanka Chopra will be performing a item song in the upcoming movie Tezz (2011) starring Ajay Devgan and Kangna Ranaut . This could be the first solo item song performed by PC, and the procedures are promising a much hotter and sexier than Katrina Kaif ’s Sheila Ki Jawani and Malaika Arora Khan ’s Muni Badnaam Hui. The music for the song has been done by music composer duo Sajid-Wajid.

At the recently held Dadasaheb Phalke Academy award ceremony, Bollywood veteran Dharmendra was honoured with the Phalke Ratna award for his contribution to the Hindi film industry spanning five decades. Priyanka Chopra was given the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her performance in Saat Khoon Maaf (2010) , while Rani Mukherjee received the Outstanding Performance in the Film award for her lead role in No One Killed Jessica (2011) . Anushka Sharma got the Excellent Performance in the Film award for Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) , while her costar and debutant Ranveer Singh won the Best Debut award. Dabangg (2010) actress Sonakshi Sinha received the Best Debutant award.
