Abhishek Bachchan Wears Mumbai Indian Jersey Shah Rukh Khan House

Abhishek Bachchan showed up at Karan Johar’s 39th birthday party being held at Shah Rukh Khan house wearing a jersey of the Mumbai Indian IPL team. This was after Shah Rukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders was knocked out of IPL after they lost to Mumbai Indians. Being a generous host and a sportingly person SRK was not offended by it. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had also come to the party.

IPL Season 2 in South Africa Schedule

03/30/2009:
After much internal discussions the IPL’s governing body has decided to move the second season of the IPL Twenty20 League to South Africa. The Indian goverment was concerned about security during the IPL match as well as the general election that are scheduled for the same time frame and hence IPL decided to move the matches to South Africa. The opening match, on April 18 2009, will be held at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town and the final on May 24 2009 in the Wanderers in Johannesburg. The opener will be a double header, with last year’s winners Rajasthan Royals taking on the Royal Challengers, Bangalore; followed by Mumbai Indians taking on the last year’s runners up Chennai Super Kings. Below is the April 2009 schedule of matches in South Africa:

Redskins Cheerleaders Train IPL Cheerleaders

04/22/2008:
The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders arrived in India on April 10 to create and train the first ever cheerleading squad in the country for the Royal Challengers Bangalore Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team. The Redskins Cheerleaders will stay in India until end of the season in mid June.

IPL To Start In April

The first match of the much awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held in Banglaore in this weekend. The matches will follow Twenty20 format of cricket. The opening match will be between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Kolkata (Calcutta) Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium April 18, 2008.

Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone For Royal Challengers IPL

Katrina Kaif and Bangalore girl Deepika Padukone will be shooting for an ad to promote the Royal Challengers team of the Indian Premier League (IPL) . The team is owned by industrialist Vijay Mallya. The ad will also contain cricketer Rahul Dravid , Zahir Khan and Virat Kohli is will be directed by Sanjay Gupta. Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) has also planned a similar ad campaing for his Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team.

Indian Cricket Australia Tour

02/18/2008:
All the Indian cricketers, contracted to the Cricket Board have signed into the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is promoted by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). The IPL is set to begin play on April 18 at Bangalore and has scheduled for 59 match event including two semi finals and a grand final.
