If rumors are to be believed, then a new iPhone is coming in the near future. The Wall Street Journal independently has confirmed reports that the next generation iPhone will be on the way in the third quarter of this year (2011). There are multiple reports from people close to the supply line that the new iPhone will trim even from fat of the already trim iPhone 4. Still the name of the new iPhone is unknown, will it be iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S. The new iPhone may also come with a camera upgraded to 8 megapixels and a powerful A5 processor as in the iPad.
Starting Friday January 28 2011, Apple iPad will be avaliable in India at the price of 27,990. Currently the iPad (16 GB, wi-fi only) has been selling at Rs 33,000 in the grey market and on online stores. In less than a year from being launched (January 27, 2010, it has sold nearly 15 million units, making it the fastest selling gadget ever. The rumor also is that iPad 2 will be coming out in a couple of months, maybe with some new features like dual cameras, a higher resolution ‘retina’ display and a faster processor. Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have been selling micro SIM cards (for 3G versions) while BSNL has announced 3G plans specifically for the iPad. Currently the iPad is avaliable in six versions: memory of 16, 32 or 64GB, Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi plus 3G. The 16GB WiFi only version will be priced at Rs 27,990 while the top model, 64GB WiFi plus 3G version will be priced at Rs 44,990.
After a month or rumors on the new announcement from Apple, today Apple made the big announcement by unveiling the Apple iPad , at an invite only event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco, CA. The new Apple iPad will cost around $499 and comes with a 9.7-inch LCD touch-screen display with 1024×768 resolution which will makes use of the same multitouch technology found on the iPhone, and 1 Ghz custom Apple chip and will come in 16, 32, and 64GB capacities for $499, $599, and $699, respectively for the Wi-Fi version, the 3G wireless modem version will be available from AT\&T with a new plan options of $15 a month for 250MB of data, or unlimited for $29.99 a month. The iPad with just Wi-Fi will be shipping in the next 60 days, while the 3G version will be in the market in the next 90 days.

At the World Wide Developers Conference in San Francisco, Apple introduced the next generation iPhone . The new iPhone will be known as iPhone 3GS and includes features such as more speed, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and white balancing, ability to record and edit videos on the handset, built in voice controls for hands free operation, cut, copy, and paste capabilities, device tethering, HTTP streaming, auto-fill, multi language support, and built in compass. The new iPhone 3GS will be available on June 19 for $199 for the 16 GB version, and the 32 GB version will cost $299 with a new contract. And the iPhone 3G, 8 GB version now costs $99 with a new two year contract.
Apple today announced the availability of a new iPod Shuffle . It has been redesigned and provides more capability and functionality. It’s half the size of the last generation but with twice the capacity, the latest Shuffle provides a way of letting you know what track you’re listening to: It talks. It’s available now for $79, the new Shuffle is billed as the “world’s smallest music player,” and indeed, it looks tiny just 1.8 by 0.7 by 0.3 inches, a little smaller than a AA battery. It also comes with new in line remote on the earphone cord, from which you can adjust the volume, pause and skip tracks. This also is its drawback since third party earphones won’t work.
Today, the new iPhone was launched by Apple Inc. worldwide. With AT T as the exclusive carrier of the service for the iPhone. Lines were being formed outside the apple story from last night. The new iPhone 3G adds some nice new features along with the lower price (thanks to subsidies by the carrier) of $199, but now AT T will require the phone activation in the store vs at home. In Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, Apple’s flagship store, customer had to wait more then 20 minutes to get the new iPhone activated because of some problem with the activation process. iPhone also had good sales in Japan, France, New Zealand, and Germany.

Apple recently announced their next version of the iPhone , it’s a 3G version with features like global positioning technology, support for Microsoft Exchange Server, geotagging, video playback, audio playback, view PowerPoint attachments, bulk move and delete, a scientific calculator, parental controls, support for 16 languages, and some update to it’s look. The other major change will be the price, it’s lower. iPhone 3G 8 Giga Byte model will cost $199 while the 16 Giga Byte model will retail for $299. The new iPhone will go on sale July 11.
Vodafone announced that it has been selected to provide the Apple’s iPhone in ten new countries. The list of the countries are Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. Vodafone will start to sell the Apple iPhone as early as later this year.
Today at the CTIA, Samsung introduced the Instinct . The Instinct looks and may feel much Apple’s iPhone but comes with many of the features missing from iPhone. The phone will release in mid-June and be avaliable for Sprint users. Some of the new features are 3G access, replaceable battery, expandable memory, a 2MP camera, stereo Bluetooth and feedback for the touchscreen. The Instinct measures 4.6″ by 2.2″ by 0.49″ and weighs 4.4 ounces.
Will Apple be annoucing a new version of the MacBook soon? Many major reseller are showing back order of more then a week on the Apple’s current MacBook Pros. Does this mean that production is slow for the current MacBook or a new Apple MacBook is around the cornor. Intel has recently announced a new chip called, Penryn, which has been used by large number of PC companies.
